Gene Severson

September 12, 1939 - December 24, 2025

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Gene Severson. Coach Severson leaves behind a profound legacy as a foundational figure in the Bismarck athletic community. A legendary coach and educator, his career was defined by his deep commitment to the development of young athletes both on and off the field.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Faith Lutheran Church, 1402 E Ave C, Bismarck, ND.

Q: Why does it take longer to get from second base to third base than it does from first base to second base? A: Because there is a shortstop in between. :)
